Writers’ Roundup: November 4

November 4, 2011

Great week! One of the highlights was attending Study Hall DC, a co-working (more like co-chatting) space for D.C. entrepreneurs. Interaction like this is so important now that I work from home; I always feel energized after talking big-picture ideas with other go-getters.

Links worth checking out from this week:

  • For the journalists among us, Steve Buttry offers an in-depth post about how to attribute properly. Good tips and reminders.
  • We’re running a new feature over at Brazen Life: Write a post on your blog about landing your first job (tips, advice, a story — anything goes), and we’ll link to it on Brazen at the end of the month. This is a solid opportunity to bring new eyes to your site.

Finally, a handful of you have asked about my blog coaching package. I’ve kept it under-wraps for the last year, only taking on clients that had the initiative to ask me whether I could help them improve their blog. But I’ve so enjoyed working with these individuals that I’m extending the offer to everyone. So here it is, my blog coaching package.

Enjoy your weekend!

I hadn’t read the eulogy yet. It definitely made me tear up. But it also made me glad that my sister is a writer too. I see a great wedding toast in my near future and a wonderful eulogy for me in 70 years.

    • Thanks for the Brazen blog info!

    • Lexi,
I have to say… I enjoy your “take a leap” and social networking ideas BUT I miss your travel related posts, which is what brought me here back when you were the “Aspiring Writer.” When might we hear from the “Traveling Writer” again?

Hi Michelle! Thanks for this note. I love writing about travel, but I don’t want to be one of those bloggers who writes about traveling when I’m NOT traveling 🙂 I’ve got two upcoming trips in the works though, so you should hear from my travel side in the next few months. Thanks for letting me know what you like and don’t like!
