Great interview, Alexis. It was interesting to see what goes into writing a memoir. Also, I’ve never thought about the major differences between journalism and novel writing, probably because I’ve never written from a journalistic standpoint or the crazy deadlines. I’m used to self imposed ones. And working with someone constantly looking over my shoulder drives me nuts!
I’ll leave the same message here that I left there. The more I read about your memoirs, the more I really want to buy the book once it hits the book stores. This sounds really fresh and exciting. That’s what people are looking for. Fresh and new. Not the same ol’ rehashed, recycled, and repackaged stories.
I’m heading over…

Excellent interview, Alexis. Ami did a good job.
Hi Alexis,

Thanks, Stephen! A writer needs to hear that every once in a while.
I’m on my way over to read it now.
