Writers' Roundup
June 26, 2009
Gasp! I’ve been spelling roundup incorrectly for five weeks — with a hyphen — and none of you told me?! You know I’m finicky about grammar! (Had to dig out the trusty AP Stylebook.) I feel like I’ve had spinach stuck in my teeth for 40 days.
A handful of helpful links I came across this week:
- At Social Media 101, an important blogging lesson: How to format your posts so people will read them. I admit, when a blogger doesn’t follow this advice, I sometimes don’t visit that site again.
- An oldie, but a goodie: A list of Twitter chats put together by author Meryl Evans. A few that apply to writers: #writechat, #litchat, #platformchat and #journchat.
Have a great weekend!
Once again helpful and intereresting links. Thanks to Janet Reid, I now know why agents use form letter rejections.

Thanks again for some great links to check out!

I’m off to read the Branding post. If it’s what I think, it may address a question I’ve had for some time. Thanks for digging these up during the week and sharing on Friday.
Best regards, Galen

Thanks for mentioning the chat list! Not so old… regularly updated 🙂
Great round-up of links! (wink & lol)

Hi Alexis! I found you thanks to Rachelle’s self promotion Friday post! I must admit, the idea of traveling alone through Africa is what made me rush over. I’m so glad that I did! Thanks for the list of links! I look forward to catching up on your travels 🙂
Have a lovely weekend!

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving your opinion about Twitter. I see that you have a link in your sidebar about Twitter. I’ll have to read it! You obviously are making good use of the Twitter network!
As usual, an excellent list of links to topics we care about. This is a wonderful service you provide, Alexis. I just referred another aspiring author (who’s setting up her writerly blog) to your site as a great example of presentation, content, and tone.
Excellent! I love that you do this feature, Alexis. I have been MIA a lot this week -thanks for helping catch me up!
Off to visit!
